CIR Expert Panel Nears Ingredient Review Milestone

The Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel has reviewed the safety of nearly half of all ingredients in use in cosmetic products, CIR Director Alan Andersen said during the group’s December meeting.

The Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel made significant strides in 2012 in its mission to ensure that cosmetic ingredients on the market have been scientifically evaluated for safety.
