Antiperspirant Use Leads To Excessive Aluminum Exposure, Study Suggests
Norweigan study finds use of antiperspirants after shaving or waxing could result in aluminum exposure that exceeds established “tolerable” thresholds for weekly systemic exposure to the substance by 900-fold. Study conducted by Norway’s Scientific Committee for Food Safety considered both antiperspirants and lipstick/lip gloss as well as food in assessment of aluminum exposure.
