Italy’s National institute of Health, the ISS, says it has received reports of four cases of acute cholestatic hepatitis linked to the consumption of turmeric-based food supplements marketed by NI.VA di Destro Franco & Massetto Loretta S.N.C, based in Padua, in the north of the country.
On May 10, the ISS reported two cases of hepatitis in patients that had recently consumed NI.VA’s Curcumina Plus 95% and its Curcumina 95% supplements
