California Air Board Eyeing Additional Hair-Care Segments For VOC Cuts; ICMAD Issues Rallying Cry

Hair finishing products and dry shampoo were already on the slab for proposed VOC cuts in California, along with designated personal fragrance products, and now it appears that temporary hair color and hair shine products are being explored for reductions as well. Industry advocates remain on alert.

Trade group the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors is urging its members and other industry stakeholders to engage with the California Air Resources Board regarding its proposed volatile organic content (VOC) cuts in personal-care product categories.
