Increased demand for environmentally friendly and natural-oriented products drive brand expansions at P&G’s Gillette and Native brands. Meanwhile, Harry’s becomes “root-obsessed” with new women’s scalp- and hair-care brand Headquarters.

Planet KIND, a new shaving and skin-care line announced on 4 February by Procter & Gamble Co.’s Gillette brand, boasts environmentally friendly packaging – 85% recycled paper, 85% recycled plastic or infinitely recyclable aluminum – and a razor “which can be used for years” with a handle comprising 60% recycled plastic (the equivalent of one recycled plastic bottle), according to the company’s release.
