House appropriators moved $15m of the Food and Drug Administration commissioner’s office’s fiscal year 2023 budget to a proposed multi-agency program to stop opioid imports but rejected withholding 30% of the office’s funding until the agency explains the causes of the ongoing infant formula shortage.
