Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC heads into earnings season with a question mark hanging over its long-term leadership and direction following the unexpected departure of CEO Laxman Narasimhan. Senior independent director Nicandro Durante took the helm on an interim basis on 30 September with the search now on for Narasimhan’s permanent replacement. Reckitt’s hunt for a new boss may be complicated by the fact its consumer goods peer Unilever is also on the look-out for a CEO to take over from the soon-to-retire Alan Jope, according to Jefferies analyst Martin Deboo
