E.l.f. Beauty, Inc. says it is one of only 26 companies (out of nearly 4,500 US public companies) where underrepresented demographic groups constitute at least a third of the Board. “We’re also proud that our employee base, which is over 75% women, over 40% diverse and over 65% millennial and Gen Z, is representative of the young, diverse communities we serve,” the Oakland, CA-based company says in its inaugural Impact Report released on 27 September. E.l.f. also highlights its packaging sustainability work, noting it has eliminated more than 1m pounds of excess packaging since the inception of its Project Unicorn initiative in 2019 and now aims for 100% of e.l.f. Beauty paper cartons to be Forest-Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified by FY 2025.
