Galenica Expands Consumer Offering With Deal For Herbals Specialist Padma

Switerland's Galenica has bolstered its OTC offering by acquiring local player Padma and its portfolio of OTCs and supplements inspired by Tibetan medicine.

Galenica’s Swiss consumer healthcare operation Verfora has its expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of herbals specialist Padma AG for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Wetzikon, Switzerland, Padma manufactures and distributes OTC drugs and food supplements derived from Tibetan medicine. The company generates sales at retail prices of around CHF10m annually in its home market, accounting for around 70% of its turnover
