Dutch functional ingredients development firm NutriLeads has raised €4.5m ($4.9m) to accelerate the commercialization of BeniCaros, a soluble prebiotic carrot fiber which the firm claims trains the immune system to be faster, smarter and stronger.
The Series C investment round was led by existing investor DSM-Firmenich Venturing, which has financially backed NutriLeads since 2015.
