Unilever PLC’s steps to “premiumize” its Dove personal care brand with new packaging, new marketing and expansion into new product segments is paying off, the firm reported at the Barclays Global Consumer Staples Conference.
The brand comprising soap, body care and hair care products, recorded sales growth of 10% in the first half of the year. Dove – the largest name in its portfolio, which also includes TRESemme, Pond’s, Vaseline, Closeup, Pepsodent, Horlick’s and Liquid IV – accounted for 10% of the company’s €31.1bn in total turnover in the first half of 2024, which was up 4.1% compared with the prior-year period
