Germany Cautions Against Use Of Ashwagandha Supplements

Germany's BfR says certain groups, including pregnant women and those with certain health conditions, should not use ashwagandha supplements, while the rest of the population should exercise caution due to the potential risks.

Germany has joined the growing chorus of countries warning consumers that food supplements containing ashwagandha may pose a threat to their health.

BfR, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, is recommending that children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and people with liver disease should not use ashwagandha supplements
