Ypsomed is launching Ypsopen, a reusable pen for injecting insulin, in Poland. Polfa Tarchomin, a local manufacturer, will distribute the product as Ypsopen Polfa Tarchomin in the country together with its own six insulin formulations marketed under the Polhumin umbrella trade name. There are around 2.7 million diabetes patients in Poland, with more than one third of them insulin dependent.
