The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has just completed a major pandemic preparedness exercise which it claims was the first of its kind to be held anywhere in the world.
The five-day table top simulation, held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, involved all 10 countries in the bloc and aimed to identify the possible social impact of a major outbreak such as influenza on non-health-related government services, including in the energy, transportation and finance sectors
