China Joins U.S. In Common Application Format To Simplify Patent Applications

In a refreshed effort towards international patent harmonization, China will soon initiate a common application format, easing registration requirements for companies entering the country as well as new domestic players looking outward.

BEIJING – China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) has joined the U.S., EU, Japan, and Korea to become the fifth participant in an international effort to streamline patent applications.
