The biotech got a $176m award for its pandemic influenza vaccine program through BARDA’s Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle.

Efforts to develop vaccines against pandemic influenza as the virus rapidly spreads among livestock in the US received a push on 2 July as Moderna, Inc. obtained a project award from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority’s Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle (RRPV) for its pandemic flu vaccine program.
