Venture capital mega-rounds of $100m or more have surged in 2024 and the trend has continued in December, with announcements on 19 December that Ottimo Pharma’s series A round brought in more than $140m and on 11 December that Angitia Biopharmaceuticals raised a $120m series C financing.
