To explore these concerns and opportunities from both pharmaceutical companies' and health plans' perspectives, Booz & Company recently conducted independent research consisting of a quantitative survey and in-depth interviews with chief medical officers and medical directors of several leading health plans and pharmacy benefits managers . The quantitative survey captured the views and experiences of medical and pharmacy directors from 20 leading national and regional health plans on the value of engagement during development and the effectiveness of how 20 leading pharmaceutical companies engage during development.
