According to a poll by the Kaiser Health Foundation, 45% of adults in the US reported their mental health had been negatively impacted due to worry and stress over the virus. Feelings of anxiety and depression are increasingly common, and thoughts of obsessive-compulsive disorder have also been heightened by fear of the virus.

This could add further strain to the provision of mental health services and lead to greater demand for alternative, device-based treatments
