Cuba has issued emergency use authorizations for two more COVID-19 vaccines, including in pediatric populations as young as two years of age. It has also started the process for obtaining prequalification from the World Health Organization for four COVID-19 vaccines, which would facilitate their use in other countries and could eventually mean large-scale purchases through the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
