Sweden Tackles Regulatory Barriers To Decentralized Trials

Sweden’s Medical Products Agency is offering companies free advice on decentralized clinical trials until the end of this year as part of an ongoing project to investigate possible regulatory hurdles to using digital technology in trials.

The project, which started at the beginning of 2020, is now in its final stages and is no longer accepting studies. However, the MPA said it was continuing to offer “hands on” advice to sponsors interested in introducing decentralized elements into their clinical trials
