NICE, the health technology appraisal (HTA) institute for England and Wales, is consulting on an update to its health technology evaluations manual to reflect its recently adopted proportionate approach. This approach aims to help NICE make faster decisions and deliver more guidance.

The evaluations manual was first published in January 2022 to set out the process for deciding how topics are identified, selected and routed for development as guidance by NICE’s Centre for Health Technology Evaluation
