Honest Company's SLS-Free Claims At Core Of Nationwide Class Action

A proposed class action filed March 24 in Missouri's Eastern District Court alleges that Honest misrepresents certain products as "Honestly Made Without" sodium lauryl sulfate, when in reality the sodium coco sulfate they use as a purportedly safer alternative contains SLS. The suit comes two weeks after the Wall Street Journal reported finding SLS in the company's liquid laundry detergent.

The Honest Company's legal troubles now include a proposed class action in Missouri Eastern District Court for allegedly misleading consumers about sodium lauryl sulfate content in its household cleaning products.
