Dietary supplement industry trade groups expect the administration of President-elect Donald Trump and the continuing Republican majority in Congress will offer a mixed bag of less stringent regulations but potentially restrictive foreign trade prospects.

Executives with the American Herbal Products Association, Council for Responsible Nutrition and United Natural Products Alliance express cautious optimism about working with the Trump administration, which they believe will be more averse to increasing regulation than the Obama White House
