Firms Spread Diaper Rash, Skin Care Brands, Move Lice Kit License In Recent Deals

Mission Pharmacal divested to MainPointe Pharmaceuticals topical analgesic brand Thera-Gesic and the Dr. Smith’s line of infant and adult skin protectant ointments and sprays. Randob Labs agreed to purchase the Balmex brand of baby and adult skin protectants from Moberg Pharma for $4.25m.

Two diaper rash and skin protectant brands are changing hands in recent deals, with one also moving marketing rights to a lice removal kit available OTC for less than two years.

Mission Pharmacal Co. on Feb. 21 announced it had divested to MainPointe Pharmaceuticals LLC skin care brands Thera-Gesic, in regular and strong formulations, and the Dr. Smith’s infant and adult skin protectant ointments and sprays (see box below)
