Nestlé makes Atrium move

Nestlé has signalled its intention to become a force in consumer healthcare by acquiring Canadian supplements specialist Atrium Innovations for US$2.3 billion (€1.95 billion) from a group of investors led by Permira Funds. Subject to regulatory approval, the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018.
