IFF Narrows Focus To Fragrance, Health, Food

Plant-based ingredients company Roquette will acquire IFF's Pharma Solutions business

International Flavors & Fragrances agrees to sell its Pharma Solutions business to plant-based ingredients company Roquette for an enterprise value of $2.85bn to reduce debt and streamline its business to three segments, including scents.

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has agreed to sell its business making pharmaceutical excipients in a $2.85bn deal that will reduce debt and leave it in categories showing stronger results, namely Scent, Nourish (food and beverage), and Health & Biosciences.

In the transaction announced on 19 March, plant-based ingredients company Roquette Freres SA agreed to purchase IFF Pharma Solutions at a price around 13 times the unit’s 2024
