Obama plans $800m+ 'command-and-control' attack on Ebola

President Barack Obama plans to announce a substantial expansion to the US response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa – which he has called a top national security priority for the US – declaring the administration will use a command-and-control approach, putting a US Army general in charge of 3,000 military personnel to combat the epidemic and humanitarian crisis, and is committing more than $800m to the effort.
