Google Research and DeepMind have developed perhaps the most comprehensive large language model yet for the biopharma industry, designed to support all stages of drug discovery and development. It can predict – with varying degrees of accuracy – interactions between drugs and targets, a therapeutic’s impact on a cancer cell line, identify the likely genetic basis for a disease and predict the success of a clinical trial.
