Branded IP database allows patent linkage

An online register of global patent information for medicines that has just been launched by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and global brand body the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) for procurement purposes is tantamount to patent linkage, according to European off-patent industry association Medicines for Europe.
