New non-profit US generic drugs company Civica Rx, set up by a group of major hospital care providers to tackle soaring medicine prices, has opened its official headquarters in Utah.

Civica Rx, a generics firm founded by the Mayo Clinic and other big-name US hospitals to combat rising prices and to reduce chronic drug shortages, has opened its new headquarters in the tech city of Lehi in Utah.

The non-profit company aims to ensure generic drug prices are “transparent and competitive” in what it hopes will be a game-changing initiative
