With scrutiny of the US pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business model at the forefront of government conversation, one of the largest PBMs, Express Scripts, has announced a trio of what it terms “transparency and affordability” measures, including a co-pay assurance plan covering both generic and specialty generic drugs.
