Quarterly Biosimilar Market Report Has Identified Crucial Factors For Biosimilar Success

The third quarterly report into the US biosimilars industry from Samsung Bioepis has identified three factors that it says heavily influence the uptake of biosimilar drugs.

The stance of independent medical guidelines, the duration of treatment, and access and rebate walls have all been identified as key factors that determine biosimilar uptake, in the third quarterly US biosimilar report from Samsung Bioepis.

The company has identified a positive correlation between biosimilar usage and price erosion, which in turn indicates a strong relationship between lower biosimilar prices and higher market share
