Rep. Pallone Has Cosmetics Concerns, Possibly Coming To A Storefront Near You

Standing in front of a Claire's store in his home state, the New Jersey Democrat asked FDA Feb. 2 to investigate reports of asbestos-contaminated children's makeup products and provide a briefing on the issue and broader cosmetic safety concerns by Feb. 22.

Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J., is asking FDA to investigate the issue of hazardous impurities in children's cosmetics, including reports of asbestos-tainted makeup from specialty retailer brands, and to address broader concerns about imported cosmetic risks.
