REACH Compliance: ECHA Zeroes In On Read-Across, Grouping Approaches

The roughly 68% of REACH chemical dossiers that lacked crucial safety information in 2017 represent an improved compliance rate compared with previous years, but ECHA soon will be turning to low-tonnage registrations, many from small, inexperienced industry players. The agency expects grouping approaches to play a large role in 2018 registrations and its substance evaluation activities going forward.
