REACH Phase-In Registration Is Over. Now What?

After 10 years and nearly 90,000 registrations, the phase-in period for existing chemicals under the EU’s REACH regulation is finished. New chemicals must continue to be registered, and substance dossiers have to kept up to date through ongoing cooperation between registrants, ECHA reminds industry.

The 10-year phase-in period under the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals law is over, which means that all chemicals currently manufactured and/or marketed in Europe in volumes above 1 ton annually are supposed to be known to the European Chemicals Agency.
