ECHA ‘Ignoring’ Law, Continues To OverREACH With Cosmetic Animal Tests – Cruelty Free International

According to the NGO, not only are animals continuing to suffer in testing the Cosmetics Regulation’s animal-testing prohibitions were designed to eliminate, cruelty-free brands are having an increasingly difficult time avoiding animal-tested ingredients due to failings in the European Chemicals Agency’s administration of REACH.

As of midday Jan. 10, close to 2,400 of a targeted 20,000 individuals had signed Cruelty Free International’s new petition demanding that the European Chemicals Agency “Stop the OverREACH” when it comes to approved animal testing on cosmetic ingredients.
