Options for, and impediments to, lowering 1,4-dioxane levels in personal-care and household cleaning products will be the focus of discussion at a 21 Aug. public workshop as California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control considers prioritizing the substance for action under the state’s Safer Consumer Products (SCP) regulation.
The DTSC, part of California’s Environmental Protection Agency, already hosted a June workshop on the topic of 1,4-dioxane after releasing a related work plan in late May.
