Past and present are alike for warnings in the US consumer health product space: COVID-19 claims and hand sanitizers with methanol. A recent warning also notes online search terms an herbal supplement business used are drug claims for its products.

Mexican firm Broncolin S.A.'s Herbacil Anticeptic Hand Sanitizer has been on recall since July due to the presence of methanol.
