OTC Sanitizer Contaminations Drop In US As Auxiliary Manufacturers Stop Production

The US Food and Drug Administration has found “substantially” fewer contaminated or otherwise adulterated OTC hand sanitizers so far in 2021 from a year ago due in no small part to fewer firms making the products.

Recent FDA warning letters show that alcohol-based OTC sanitizers made in Mexico remain the most problematic, although US firms aren’t escaping regulatory scrutiny
