An industry self-regulation group's digital advertising watchdog is reminding online businesses that consumers must actively consent to tracking of their sensitive data when used for interest-based advertising (IBA) as required by the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) Self-Regulatory Principles.

BBB National Program Inc.'s Digital Advertising Accountability Program (DAAP) on 21 June published a compliance warning letter online saying enforcement of this compliance warning will begin in 2023
