Cooper Divests Stardea To France's EA Pharma

Italian nutraceutical player Stardea has changed hands. Following six years of ownership by Cooper Consumer Health, the business has been acquired by France's EA Pharma which is keen to expand its footprint outside of its home market.

France’s Cooper Consumer Health has divested its Italian nutraceutical business Stardea to private-equity backed EA Pharma for an undisclosed sum.

Stardea – which markets in Italian pharmacies dietary supplements, medical devices and dermo-cosmetics – was acquired in 2016 by Vemedia Consumer Health, which later that year was itself acquired and merged with La Coopération Pharmaceutique. The combined business adopted the Cooper Consumer Health name in 2020
