Information Deluge Headed US FDA’s Way When Cosmetics Registration Portal Opens

As the US Food and Drug Administration prepares to finalize its draft guidance on registering cosmetic product facilities and products, industry members offer their support but also share concerns about the agency’s readiness to handle the deluge of data it will receive.

The draft guidance was issued on 7 August to facilitate compliance with the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulations Act, which requires registration of cosmetics facilities and product listings by 29 December 2023

France's food safety regulator ANSES is proposing a reproductive toxicity category 1B classification for CBD under the EU's CLP regulation, which would mean an effective ban on CBD in cosmetics and foods.
