California, Massachusetts and New Jersey are the next battlegrounds in the US consumer health products industry’s opposition to states imposing age restrictions on sales of dietary supplements and OTC drugs for weight loss and bodybuilding.
Legislatures in those three states remain in session with active bills proposing regulations similar to the New York law which went into effect on 22 April requiring retailers, including e-commerce sites, to ask for identification as proof of age when a customer buying consumer health products containing ingredients
