The US Food and Drug Administration is asking for $5m to meet targets established by the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act for fiscal year 2024 alone. Eight times that amount will be needed to complete all work needed under the law, according to Commissioner of Food and Drugs Robert Califf.
