Indian firm Centaur confirms to Scrip that a planned alliance with Santen for the Indian market is not going ahead, as the mid-sized Japanese ophthalmic specialist says it is looking to build up its direct presence in Asia.

Executives at privately-held Indian firm Centaur Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. have confirmed to Scrip that a planned alliance for the Indian market with mid-sized Japanese ophthalmic care company Santen Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., first discussed less than two years ago, will not now be going ahead.
