As companies get set to tackle new SARS-CoV-2 strains and the US Food and Drug Administration says modified vaccines targeted at these must generate immune response rates not more than 10% below those of the original vaccine, the World Health Organization (WHO) has emphasized that vaccination drives must continue with existing vaccines.
