ResMed, Verily Connect To Form Sleep Apnea JV

Sleep disorder therapy specialist ResMed and Alphabet's health unit Verily are combining their expertise to form a new joint venture focused on developing solutions that will enable health care providers to better diagnose and manage sleep apnea and other breathing-related sleep problems.

Having already teamed up with other market leaders in the areas of surgery and diabetes, Alphabet's health unit Verily Life Sciences LLC is now targeting the sleep disorder space and teaming up with leading sleep company ResMed Inc. to form a joint venture focused on sleep apnea treatments and connected health products. In particular, the JV aims to develop software solutions that enable health care providers to better diagnose, treat and manage sleep apnea and other breathing-related sleep disorders.
