Finance Watch: TRexBio Raises $84m To Pursue Proof Of Concept In Inflammatory Diseases

Private Company Edition: TRexBio’s series B venture capital round will fund initial clinical trials for TRB-061, a TNFR2 agonist. And in addition to mega-rounds from Trace, Alentis and Metsera, Evommune and Axonis raised $115m each, while Elektrofi completed a $112.5m series C.

TRex Bio Inc. (TRexBio) announced an $84m series B venture capital round on 13 November that it will use to develop lead drug candidate TRB-061, a TNFR2 agonist, through early clinical proof-of-concept in patients with inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis and ulcerative colitis. TRexBio plans to initiate a Phase I trial with TRB-061 during the first half of 2025.
