Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.'s acquisition of ratiopharm Group, the German generics company, announced March 18, could hardly have been a surprise for anyone following the Israeli company's recent rip-roaring endorsement of the opportunities in the European generics market and the German market in particular.
